From Realtor to Chef: Cooking as a Way to Connect and Create Delicious Delights

Updated: Apr 18, 2023

As a realtor, my job involves meeting and connecting with new people daily. However, my passion for cooking has allowed me to connect with people on a whole new level. Cooking is about feeding your body, nourishing your soul, and connecting with those around you.

Over the years, I have experimented with various cooking methods and techniques, but three have stood out: the air fryer, sous vide, and pellet smoker. Each method has unique benefits and can produce some of the most delicious meals you'll ever have.

An air fryer is a fantastic tool that allows me to cook my favorite fried foods without the added calories and unhealthy oils. This appliance uses hot air to cook food, resulting in crispy, golden brown dishes that are also healthier. I love using the air fryer for cooking chicken wings, french fries, and desserts like churros.

The sous vide method is perfect for cooking meats to perfection. It involves sealing food in an airtight bag and cooking it in a water bath at a precise temperature. The result is juicy, tender meat cooked evenly from edge to edge. I love using my sous vide to cook steaks, pork chops, and eggs.

Lastly, the pellet smoker is a great way to infuse meats with a rich, smoky flavor. This tool uses wood pellets to smoke and cook meat, resulting in a deep, delicious flavor that's hard to beat. I love using my pellet smoker to cook brisket, ribs, and fish.

Cooking has not only allowed me to experiment with different ingredients and flavors, but it has also allowed me to connect with people on a deeper level. Sharing a meal with friends and family is a bonding experience and a great way to share ideas and stories. I'm excited to share my passion for cooking and hope to inspire you to experiment with different cooking methods and techniques.
